From March 26th to 28th, 2025 we organized on behalf of the Haella Foundation Netherlands an intensive financial management training for Haella Northern Uganda Family Network.
The training focused on strengthening key financial management skills necessary for the effective execution of projects across the region, attracted participants from the six member organizations of the Haella Northern Uganda Family Network.
The training’s primary objective was to enhance participants’ ability to manage financial resources efficiently, promoting accountability, sustainability, and transparency. The sessions covered crucial aspects of financial management, including project costing, budgeting, audit processes, and bank reconciliation.
These areas are essential for ensuring that the organizations can manage their finances effectively and meet the expectations of donors and stakeholders.
Why This Training Matters
The Haella Northern Uganda Family Network, consisting of six member organizations across Northern Uganda, plays a vital role in empowering local communities through various development projects. Given the critical need for transparency, efficiency, and accountability in the management of project funds, strengthening financial management is crucial to the success of these organizations.
The financial management skills imparted during this training will help the participating organizations improve their financial sustainability, build greater trust with donors, and ensure the long-term success of their projects.
By strengthening the financial capacity of these organizations, the Haella Northern Uganda Family Network is laying the foundation for more effective and sustainable development initiatives in the region.

Looking Forward: Continued Capacity Building
The training held at Hotel Good News is just one part of a larger initiative to build the capacity of organizations across Northern Uganda. The Haella Northern Uganda Family Network, in collaboration with its partners, is committed to organizing further training sessions and providing ongoing support to its member organizations.
These capacity-building efforts are aimed at equipping local organizations with the skills they need to better manage funds, improve project outcomes, and continue making a positive impact in their communities. With a strong foundation in financial management, these organizations will be able to navigate the challenges they face with greater confidence and efficiency.
