On March 24, 2025, we were honored to celebrate a significant milestone at CEFARH Foundation Uganda—the graduation of our dedicated students from the “Skilling School Dropout Adolescents for Self-Reliance” program.
This transformative event marked the successful completion of six months of vocational training in various hands-on courses, held at the Kole Centre. This initiative was made possible by the generous support of the Haella Foundation, Netherlands, whose commitment to empowering marginalized youth has made a tangible difference in the lives of these young people. A journey of learning and Transformation The project was designed to provide adolescents who had dropped out of school with practical skills that would enable them to become self-reliant and contribute meaningfully to their communities.
Over the past six months, our students engaged in hands-on learning, where they explored diverse vocational courses including tailoring, carpentry, beauty therapy, and agriculture, among others. These courses were tailored to the needs of the local community, ensuring that the students could acquire skills that were both relevant and marketable.

The graduation ceremony was a joyous occasion, bringing together students, their families,community leaders, and partners from the Haella Foundation. It was a moment to acknowledge the determination and hard work of these young individuals, who despite facing various obstacles, stayed committed to their learning and personal growth. Each graduate was presented with a certificate of completion, symbolizing their newfound skills and the beginning of their journey toward self-sufficiency. The pride on the faces of the graduates was evident, as they took this crucial step towards securing their futures.
